Bonneville Transit Center

Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas as part of its redevelopment and revitalization, this landmark transit facility showcases sustainability while serving as a central hub for commuters. The new 2-story, LEED-Gold building features seven on-street loading points, a fully enclosed waiting area for passengers and 16 onsite vehicle bays. Solar-panel shade structures at the bus bays and ample daylighting will help save up to $30,000 annually in energy costs. The facility even features a bike center with a self-service bike repair shop, storage for more than 100 bikes, changing rooms and showers. The judges especially liked the fluid lines of the building, including the curved steel beams of the roof.
