Rich Gohl was promoted to preconstruction manager at the Southwest district of Sundt Construction in Tempe, Ariz. Gohl will be responsible for all preconstruction activity in the district, including estimating and procurement as well as contractor and subcontractor selection. Gohl has been in the industry for nearly three decades working mostly on hospitality and entertainment projects. He has also been in charge of some of Sundt's notable recent projects, such as the College of Engineering's Innovation Building at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and the Henley Hall Institute for Energy Efficiency at University of California, Santa Barbara.
Sundt also promoted Ryan Abbott to Southwest business development manager; he will assume responsibility for design-build, construction manager at-risk and public/private partnerships at Sundt.
