Michael Lancaster has been named president of Frank L. Blum Construction, based in Winston-Salem, N.C. Lancaster becomes only the fourth president in the history of the 91-year-old commercial contracting company. Prior to this promotion, Lancaster was serving as vice president of construction services. He joined the firm in 2003, after graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in construction engineering and management from North Carolina State University. Former president J. Andrews (Drew) Hancock III has been named chief executive officer. Hancock will focus on talent development, market presence and strategic leadership. A 40-year industry veteran, Hancock has led Frank L. Blum Construction for 32 years.
