Looking forward, "with a shrinking state transportation budget on the horizon, we hope that local government and private projects will keep contractors busy." While there aren't any big projects ahead, "there is the $39-million expansion of the D.G. Hunter Power Plant now under construction," he says. "Also, the $23-million Rapides Parish Coliseum renovation has been bid, contracts signed and awaiting a compromise between the city and parish government over co-ownership of the facilities parking area."
