Industry veterans selected the Global Best Projects winners as outstanding examples of the challenges, risks and rewards of designing and building internationally. The judges looked at projects in many markets and examined safety, innovations, challenges, and design and construction quality - with special emphasis on the diversity of project teams and their teamwork. An innovative project built in one of the most extreme environments on Earth was the unanimous choice for Project of the Year. Safety - a major component of the judging - garners special focus in a spotlight story. The projects will be honored on May 13 at the ENR+Dodge 2014 Global Construction Summit in New York City.
