The chairman and CEO of Turner Corp. says the industry is facing both big opportunities and big questions. Davoren is also CEO of Turner Construction of New York, which reported handling more than $2 billion worth of work in 2006 in the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut region.

CEO, Turner Construction

Peter Davoren assumed the top post at Turner Corp. earlier this year. With sales topping $8 billion in 2006, Turner is the largest subsidiary of Germany-based HOCHTIEF, a publicly traded company. Davoren has spent his entire career at Turner, starting in 1978 as a field engineer in the firm's Boston office. He eventually rose to vice president of the New York Interiors Group in 1995, following with later posts as: general manager of the New York office in 1996; senior vice president of the firm overseeing New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh offices in 2000; and president of Turner Construction in 2003.
