Sheina Hughes is the new operational leader in the Northwest region for Stantec. A University of Alberta graduate, Hughes is relocating from Phoenix, where she most recently was a senior principal in Stantec’s transportation practice. Her professional career includes working in both the U.S. and Canadian operations at Stantec, but also serving as the city engineer in Chandler, Ariz., when the city hosted the $5-billion Intel expansion. In her new role, Hughes is responsible for client development and support, operations management and service delivery within all business lines in the region.
In Alaska, Mark Parrott has joined Stantec’s Fairbanks office as a senior mechanical engineer. He is a two-time graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks and has more than a dozen years of in-state professional experience. Parrott will focus on military and utility projects in his new role. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers; the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers; and the National Fire Protection Association.
