The LiRo Group has promoted Peter Gerbasi to senior vice president. He will continue to lead the environmental division, a role he has held since joining the firm in 2007.
 

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has hired Drew Galloway as a vice president and director of transit and rail planning, based in Newark. He had been deputy chief of planning for Amtrak in Philadelphia and worked at the agency for 19 years. He also served as director of rail projects at NJ Transit.

The firm also announced several promotions, including Nicholas P. Mitrakis to corporate controller; Dino Buro to associate, building systems; Johan Leonard to associate, building structures; and William A. Bothe to senior supervising engineer in the transportation and infrastructure sector.
 

Joshua Zinder Architecture + Design has named Dani Robertson as a project manager. The firm also hired Taylor Kinsey as architectural designer and Deanna D’Elia as designer.

Intertek-PSI has promoted Randy Brown to district manager in its New York City office. Previously, he served as branch manager of the Intertek-PSI Corpus Christi, Texas, office.
 

Dewberry has promoted Shahidul Joarder to senior associate and Nicholas Saponara to associate. They are based in the engineer’s New York City office.
 

Michael Baker International has elevated Michael J. Conaboy to the newly created position of area executive for New York and New Jersey within the Northeast region. He had been vice president and office executive for New Jersey. Conaboy now also will manage offices in New York City, White Plains and Rensselaer, N.Y. He also has served as an adjunct professor of hydrology and hydraulics for graduate school programs at Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania.
 

Turner Construction has promoted Bert Rahm and Ed Magnani to vice president. Rahm also now is general manager of the contractor’s interiors group in New York City. Magnani is that group’s operations manager. Ronald Olson also was promoted to deputy operations manager of the interiors group.
 

Chris Bailey has been hired by Suffolk Construction as vice president of preconstruction. The firm has also named Cheryl Marraffino as director of strategic relationship development and Matthew Miller as vice president of operations.
 

CetraRuddy Architecture, New York City, has promoted Branko Potocnik and Kevin Lee to associate principals. Lindsay Doren and Maria Clironomos also were named associates of the interiors and architecture firm.

Engineer-architect Passero Associates, Rochester, N.Y., has appointed Gregory T. Topping as Northeast aviation services director. Previously, he served as Eastern region aviation manager for C&S Cos.
 

RailWorks Corp., a New York City-based track and transit systems construction and maintenance services firm, has hired Kevin Riddett as president and CEO. He had been president of the Siemens mobility division, responsible for its North American transportation portfolio. Riddett also was formerly CEO of Invensys Rail, which was acquired by Siemens.
 

Lina Gottesman, president and owner of Altus Metal, Marble and Wood, Long Island City, N.Y., was named by Long Island Business News as one of Long Island’s Top 50 Women.
 

Peter Turton has been hired by Arcadis as vice president and project director. He will manage construction of the firm’s large rail transit projects.
 

Faithful+Gould has named Mike Debiak to lead the firm’s New York City office. Previously, he served as director of New York metro operations at Arcadis.
