Charleston’s population growth is now fueling other business investments. “We’ve seen tremendous growth in hospitality, manufacturing and education in the last three years,” says Carlton. The K-12 education market should provide future contracting opportunities. “As the population in the Lowcountry increases, demand for both quantity and quality of K-12 schools will increase,” Carlton says. “We anticipate a strong push to increase the inventory of Charleston County Schools to satisfy demand in the next 12 months.”
