Mount Jordan Middle School provides a safe and comfortable learning environment for students. The school’s six innovative teaching spaces, called learning communities, incorporate classrooms that surround a collaboration center. They support multigroup, project-based learning activities. Small break-out rooms and “think tanks” provide a place for quiet, individual learning or small-group discussion. The learning communities are defined with vibrant colors, modular furniture, large amounts of daylight and great views of the Wasatch mountains. Outdoor courtyards offer gathering spaces that include an amphitheater and basketball courts. A demonstration wetland garden supports the school’s science program, giving students a hands-on, interactive-learning experience.
