Tishman Speyer Properties is planning an 800-unit mixed-use development on a two-acre site between I and K streets and First Street SE. The $100-million design-bid-build project intends to seek LEED certification. Besides the residential units, it will include 44,000 sq ft of retail space as well as below-grade parking. Advancement is pending planning and zoning approvals. The schedule for the project has not yet been determined. Orchard Development Corp. is planning a multipurpose arts center on Symphony Woods Road in Columbia. The $100-million design-bid-build project would include a visual arts center, performing arts space and 209 apartments. The project is pending planning and zoning approvals.
