“Camden is the hopping area here in the South Jersey market,” says Howell. “[The New Jersey Economic Development Authority] is providing some major tax incentives for development.” Howell cited a $260-million tax credit for a manufacturing plant developed by Holtec International and a $700-million mixed-use building being developed by Liberty Property Trust as two of several projects in the works that are aimed at revitalizing the area. “There hasn’t been this sort of development in the city of Camden for a long time,” says Howell.
