Dodge International: Australian Hospital and Bolivian Hydro-Electric Dam
Australia SA Health Partnership is planning to build the New Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide. The project entails building an 800-bed facility, with 40 operating theaters and a 2,300-space underground parking garage. Construction is expected to be completed in 2016. SA Health Partnership is a consortium made up of Macquarie Capital, contractor Hansen Yuncken, Leighton Contractors, and Spotless, a facilities management firm. The project is valued at $3.2 billion. Bolivia Empresa Nacional de Electricidad (ENDE), the state power utility, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sinohydro Corp. Ltd., which will review existing studies for a hydroelectric dam project. The Cachuela Esperanza dam on the Beni River would be 17 meters high, 600 meters long, and generate 990 MW.
