HOK of St. Louis has announced the additions in Chicago of Luigi Franceschina as vice president and director of retail design; Adam Berkelhamer as senior associate and senior project designer; Fernando Araujo as technical director; and Kirti Patel as business manager. Previously, Franceschina was senior design manager in the Midwest of Seattle-based Starbucks Coffee Co.; Berkelhamer was lead architect for Switzerland’s Calatrava Valls; Araujo was technical leader and senior project manager for Chicago-based OWP/P Inc.; and Patel was accounting systems manager for Teng & Associates, also in Chicago . HOK is an architectural and interior-design firm.

Daniel Niewoehner was named associate vice president of St. Louis-based Cannon Design. He was previously senior laboratory planned of CUH2A Inc., a division of Omaha, Neb.-based HDR Architecture. Cannon provides architectural, engineering and planning services.

Ed Davila was named senior resident engineer of Crystal Lake-based Baxter & Woodman Inc. Consulting Engineers. He was previously resident engineer with Ciorba Group in Chicago. Baxter & Woodman provides planning, design and construction services.

Adriana Kincheloe was named electrical engineer for St. Louis-based Cannon Design. She was previously an electrical engineer for Casco Project Managers. Cannon is an architectural firm.

PROMOTIONS

Doug Audiffred was named chief financial officer of St. Louis-based McCarthy Building Cos. Inc. He was previously vice president of finance. McCarthy is a contractor.

Patricia Garza was named vice president in Chicago of Providence, R.I.-based Gilbane Building Co. She was previously regional controller in the Midwest. Gilbane is a contractor.

Riley Construction Co. of Kenosha, Wis., has announced that Matt Prince, Pete Sinsky and Mark Presterl have become minority shareholders. Price is vice president of operations, Sinsky is chief financial officer and Presterl is vice president and senior project manager. Riley is a contractor.

Firestone Building Products of Indianapolis has announced the promotions of Jim Jannasch to director of product development from EPDM product manager. Bill Tippins takes over in the role. He was previously geomembrane business manager for the specialty products division. Firestone manufactures roofing systems, insulation and related products.

Ken Naumann was named vice president of operations Illinois Division of Fenton, Mo.-based Kaiser Electric Inc. He was previously project manager. Kaisier provides electrical contracting and engineering.

Peter Stadler was named senior vice president of Deerfield-based Meridian Design Build LLC. He was previously vice president.

Illinois Cement Co. in Shorewood has announced Tom Clarke was named vice president of market development and was previously vice president of marketing and sales. Kurt Ewold takes his position. He was previously manager of marketing and sales. Illinois Cement is a manufacturer.

Zach Bullock was advanced to manager of the construction materials testing laboratory of St. Louis-based Geotechnology Inc. He was previously supervisor. Geotechnoogy provides environmental engineering, materials testing and drilling.

Robert McGee Jr., president of Chicago-based II in One Rebar Inc., was elected president of the Associated Steel Erectors of Chicago.

Samuel Hutchinson, president of St. Louis-based Interface Construction Corp, was selected as treasurer of the Arlington, Va.-based Associated General Contractors of America.

Mike Latchaw, area manager of Anderson, Ind.-based E&B Paving Inc., was elected 2009 Chairman of the Board of Director for the Chamber of Commerce for Anderson and Madison counties. E&B provides asphalt and concrete paving services.
