Gary Thomas, Dallas Area Rapid Transit president/executive director, was elected as the new vice chair of the American Public Transportation Association at the organization’s annual meeting in San Antonio.

Thomas has been DART’s president/executive director since 2001 and has been vice chairman of APTA for the past three years.
