Houston AIA Chapter Selects 2010 Design Awards
Jurors selected 13 projects out of more than 130 entries for awards in seven categories at the Architecture Center Houston.
Winners are: In architecture under 50,000 sq ft, Dillon Kyle Architecture for the Meredith Long Gallery Carport and Parking Plaza; and Leo A Daly/LAN + PageSoutherlandPage Joint Venture for the GSA Regional Field Office.
Winners in interior architecture category are Rottet Studio for two projects: Gulf South and Artis in San Francisco; and Stern and Bucek Architects for the Caddell/Chapman Apartment.
In residential architecture: Collaborative De-signworks for House 2X; MC2 Architects for Courtyard House; Nonya Grenader, architect for Blossom Street Houses; and StudioMET Architects for Milford Live/Work.
In the renovation/restoration category: Smith and Co. Architects for The African American Library at the Gregory School and Stern and Bucek Architects for Sengelmann Hall in Schulenberg. MC2 Architects won in “on the boards” for Lake Houston Park. Morris Architects won in conceptual projects for Urban Re-Vision Dallas
