The 500,000-sq-ft Vail Four Season includes 121 guest rooms and suites, 16 private residences and 19 Residence Club condominiums.

Construction on Vail’s new five-star luxury resort, the Four Seasons, was complete late last year. Hyder Construction, along with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Barclays Capital and the town of Vail, celebrated completion of the resort to cap off Vail’s “Billion Dollar Renewal.”

Hyder Construction assumed the role of general contractor on the Four Seasons in June 2009 and completed the project on time for the 2010/2011 ski season. The 500,000-sq-ft property includes 121 guest rooms and suites, 16 private residences and 19 Residence Club condominiums.

The 10-story building provides guests with a 14,000-sq-ft, full-service spa; a 2,000-sq-ft, state-of-the-art fitness center; 8,500 sq ft of meeting space; two dining options (Flame Restaurant & Fireside Lounge); and a year-round, 75-ft heated pool. The resort also includes a full-service ski concierge, also completed by Hyder, at the base of the Vista Bahn chair lift.

“It is has been a pleasure to be a part of the project team to complete this beautiful building that showcases the incredible effort that went into creating it,” said Tom McLagan, president of Hyder Construction.  “We are proud to have contributed to the success of the Four Seasons project in Vail.”

Hyder has played a major role during Vail’s decade-long renovation. In the past five years, the Denver-based contractor has completed more than $224-million worth of construction.
