The American Council of Engineering Cos. of Colorado honored its 2012 Engineering Excellence Awards winners on Nov. 7 at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. Excellence-level winners and the Grand Conceptor Award winner will be entered into the national ACEC competition early next year.

Grand Conceptor Award: The Elwha River Restoration in Port Angeles, Wash., began with the passage of the Elwha River Ecosystem and Fisheries Restoration Act in 1992, determining that the river be restored to its natural condition and ecosystem.
