The American Institute of Architects Colorado recognized its 2011 architectural design, honor and president’s awards recipients during a ceremony on Oct. 15 at the Keystone Resort and Conference Center in Keystone.

Design of the Denver Art Museums Museum Shop incorporates strategies such as an invisible threshold to allow the shop to seamlessly integrate with the dynamic architecture of the lobby. Denvers Roth + Sheppard Architects won a 2011 AIA Colorado Merit Award for Interiors for the project.

The following 10 architectural design awards were selected from 86 entries submitted by Colorado architects who are members of AIA Colorado. The awards were presented by AIA Colorado 2011 Design Awards Jury Chair Carol Ross Barney of Ross Barney Architects, Chicago.
