ARIZONA Developer Garfield Traub has announced it plans to build a 525-room hotel in Tucson, adjacent to the convention center. The 25-story, $167-million hotel was designed by the DLR Group. Its facade of multicolored concrete is intended to resemble layers of rocks found in the nearby Sonoran Desert. The project will include a 55,000-sq-ft exhibit hall and meeting space. The general contractors will be Turner Construction Co. and Sundt Construction Inc. Sheraton Starwood Hotels will operate the hotel. ILLINOIS The Mundelein high school district has announced it will expand its combination middle/high school campus. The project will include 18 new classrooms, eight science labs, a new 750-seat auditorium, and gym.The project is valued at $79.8 million.
