Alabama Alabama Power Co. is planning to carry out the Warrior River hydroelectric project, which involves the construction of a raw-water intake facility to withdraw up to 3.8 million gallons a day. The project will entail constructing concrete-encased columns to support a pump house, containing four vertical turbine pumps, a 12-in.-dia water main and a control building. Arizona The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority is planning to build the Kayenta Solar Substation on a site seven miles north of the intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and U.S. Highway 163 in Kayenta. The project calls for building one 14.4/24.9-kV primary to 69/115-kV secondary step-up substation. The feeders will be built into the substation with junction boxes and ductwork installed and ready for cable. The anticipated peak generation will be 30 MW. T&D Services LLC is the designer.
