KBR Building Group completed work on the $23.9-million Triumph Aerostructures – Vought Aircraft Division manufacturing facility in September 2012 with no lost-time or recordable incidents during 110,614 man-hours on the job. The contractor promoted safety by emphasizing effective planning and development of an execution strategy during preconstruction. To help accommodate its bilingual work force, all of KBR's key policies and safety orientation processes were also available in Spanish. Subcontractors were also required to provide one employee on site who could communicate quickly with Spanish-speaking crews in the event of an emergency.

The 250,000 sf facility completed in 9 months occupies approximately 38 acres of Triumphs property. The remaining 47 acres are preserved for future.
