Rick Whitney has been appointed CEO of Adolfson & Peterson Inc. (A&P), effective Oct. 1. He succeeds interim CEO Steven Pinney, who held the position since CEO Doug Jaeger stepped down in December. Pinney will continue to serve A&P as chairman of the board of directors. Whitney spent the last six years as president and CEO of M+W U.S. Inc., based in Watervliet, N.Y.

 

FKP Architects has added several new staff members.

Elizabeth Nilsen joins FKP as the new chief financial officer. Nilsen assumes the position following the retirement of Nann Pierce, who served as FKP's CFO for 25 years.

James Kendrick joins the firm as vice president and senior project manager for the health care sector in the Dallas office.

Bruno Skovdal has been hired as a senior project architect.

Marek Radomski joins FKP as a project architect.

 

Landis Construction Co. has promoted two employees.

Anne Teague has been elevated to chief administrative and financial officer. Teague has been with Landis since 2008. Christian Generes is now the firm's executive vice president. He has held several positions during his 12 years at Landis, most recently as vice president of preconstruction.

 

Patrick Thiel has been appointed the new president of Rollcon LLC, a subsidiary of Satterfield & Pontikes Construction that does roller-compacted concrete paving work for industrial, transportation, residential and oil-and-gas industry clients.

Lori Volan has joined Satterfield & Pontikes as executive vice president, administration. Before joining S&P, she was vice president of finance at JE Dunn.

 

Kirksey recently promoted Brian Richard to executive vice president. Others promoted to vice president include: Julie Hendricks, Marty Fifer, Melissa O'Neil, Paul Newsoroff, Scott Cutlip and Steve Otto.

Promoted to senior associate were: Brian Gabbard, Brian Lemmon, Kapil Upadhyaya, Liang Wu, Michael Rensing, Russell Wooten and Stacy Odom.

Promoted to associate were: Amanda Mendler, Andrew Tyler, Carrie Conner, Colley Hodges, John Wilkinson, Justin Chu, Nicole Davis and Zach Copeland.

 

Pape-Dawson Engineers has announced several staff changes.

Cara C. Tackett has been promoted to senior vice president of land development. Tackett joined the company in June 1999 and has led many high-profile land development projects.

Christopher Blevins has joined Pape-Dawson's newly opened Dallas office as a senior project manager on the civil design of commercial and residential developments.

 

Balfour Beatty Construction announced several promotions and a new addition.

Jon Moreau has been promoted to vice president of operations and now leads the special projects group in Houston.

Marc Scott joins as project executive of energy and technical facilities in the Houston Office.

Carlos Garza was promoted to operations director for the firm's Houston office. He was previously a senior project manager for the Dallas education market.

 

Reda Bakeer has joined Professional Service Industries Inc. as senior vice president of its South Louisiana offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Mandeville. From 1985 to 2007, he was a professor at Tulane University's department of civil and environmental engineering and became a professor emeritus in 2007.

 

Cisco Hobbs has been promoted to regional vice president at Rogers-O'Brien Construction, leading the firm's Austin, Texas, office.
