Skanska USA completed construction recently on the new $21-million Texas Southmost College Arts Center Building in Brownsville. Shaped like a nautilus shell, the approximately 55,000-sq-ft building reflects the university’s historic architectural design and detail.

Skanska worked with an acoustician to ensure optimal tuning of the building. Theatrical consultants worked to perfect the production aspects of the theater, including stage curtains and inserts, orchestra shell, towers and pits.
