Peter Gisolfi Associates, Architects, Landscape Architects LLP, Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y., has named Diane Abate associate. She joins fellow associates Klaus Kalmbach, Andy Rong-Hui Lin and Ronen Wilk. Abate's role involves master-plan and conceptual design development. She also will coordinate construction document preparation and all aspects of construction administration.

Thornton Tomasetti, New York, has hired Tom Byrne as a business development senior associate. Byrne, who has more than 15 years of experience in the building engineering industry, will collaborate on national and international business development efforts.

WSP USA, New York, has hired Paul Nietzschmann as senior vice president. He will lead the firm's bridge design practice in New York and New Jersey. Nietzschmann has 35 years of experience in project management and design inspection, as well as seismic and structural analysis in the rehabilitation and new construction of major bridges, highways and transit structures. He previously held senior leadership positions at Parsons Brinckerhoff and at Parsons Transportation Group, a unit of Parsons Corp.

Parsons Corp. has hired Anthony A. Panzarino as a senior program director in its bridge and tunnel division and as New Jersey area manager. He will be based in the firm's new office in Newark and will be responsible for managing the division's large, complex projects and operations.

 

Chernick
The Spector Group, New York, has hired Brian Chernick as an intermediate architect, Katelyn Mulry as a junior architect and Minsoo Kim as a junior designer. Erwin Lim has rejoined as a project architect.

Burns & McDonnell, Wallingford, Conn., has promoted Chris Courtright and Don Chase to principals.

GZA GeoEnvironmental, New York, has hired Joseph M. Galley as a senior project manager in its Fairfield, N.J., office. He has been an environmental professional in New Jersey for more than 30 years. He began his career with the New Jersey Dept. of Environmental Protection, where he rose to assistant bureau chief and was instrumental in the development and implementation of the Environmental Cleanup Responsibility Act.

Dewberry has hired John Eric Henson as the transportation department manager in its Mount Laurel, N.J., office. In this role, Henson will be responsible for leading the transportation group and its marketing efforts. He brings more than 18 years of design and construction experience as a highway engineer.

 

Hay
Pennoni Associates, Edison, N.J., has promoted Todd Hay from land development division manager to office director. Hay is replacing James Gallagher, who will become a senior consultant. Hay's new responsibilities include client service and business development efforts for the Edison office and management of the northern New Jersey staff and projects.

Passero Associates, Rochester, N.Y., has promoted Gary W. Passero from CEO to founding partner. It has also promoted Wayne F. Wegman from president to CEO, and John F. Caruso from senior vice president to president.
