CH2M Hill, New York, has promoted Thomas P. Klin to vice president and Northeast geographic manager. Previously, Klin helped lead the firm's integration of the Halcrow acquisition in North America and also served as the firm's transportation operations director for Latin America.

Hazen and Sawyer, New York, has appointed Robert Reach to corporate program management/construction management practice group leader. He will also assist in developing the firm's practice in new geographies and technical areas.

Keith Feldmann, business development and project manager at Eldor Contracting Corp., has been appointed to the board of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA). The NYSEIA is a nonprofit association aimed at advancing solar energy in New York State. Feldmann's experience includes managing some of Eldor's most challenging renewable projects such as the 12.82-MW, 45,000-panel solar module project in Suffolk County, N.Y.

Moed de Armas & Shannon (MDEAS), New York, has promoted Michael Zaborski from senior director to principal. He joined the firm in 1998 and oversees the day-to-day activities of the architectural staff. During his career at MDEAS, he has served as project architect on over three dozen projects. These include the Montefiore Children's Hospital, 300 Park Avenue, 1120 and 1095 Avenue of the Americas, Gotham Center and 330 Madison Avenue.

The Ruby Group, Goshen, N.Y., has hired Joseph M. Schlegel as a junior project manager.

Kyle E. Krall, senior principal at Thornton Tomasetti has been selected to join the advisory board in the civil engineering department of Abu Dhabi University. Krall established the firm's offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and continues to oversee operations in the Mideast.

New Day Underwriting Managers, Bordentown, N.J., has named Geoffrey L. Haver as vice president within its construction insurance division. He joins the company with nearly 25 years of commercial casualty, professional risk and environmental experience and specializes in contaminated property transactions and contractual risk transfer for contractors.

Dawn M. Schaffran, site development coordinator at GreenbergFarrow, New York, has earned a license as a registered filing representative from the New York City Dept. of Buildings.

Skanska USA, Astoria, N.Y., has hired Frank Forcino as vice president, account manager of interiors. He has 40 years of experience in the construction industry and has completed interior work and fit-outs for multiple companies in New York and New Jersey. His experience also includes developing data centers, luxury retail and high-end executive suite office space for various industry sectors.

Fletcher Thompson, Hartford, Conn., has promoted Daniel L. Casinelli to principal of the firm's K-12 market sector. Previously, Casinelli served as project architect, project manager and principal during his 16 years with the firm.

Perkins Eastman, New York, has hired Cindy Froggatt as associate principal. Her duties include providing workplace strategy, research, communications, and change-management services as a complement to the firm's corporate interiors and architecture practice. Froggatt will act as a national resource and be based in the firm's New York and Stamford, Conn., offices.

Shawmut Design and Construction, New York, has appointed Tony Miliote to vice president of the tristate region. He will oversee growth of the firm's footprint in the academic, cultural and historic, and health care sectors.
