Restoration of Marquette Park encompassed rehabilitation of black oak savanna, foredunes, lagoon and fish habitats.

With original doors, windows and skylights long gone, project team members referenced an array of historic photos in order to create replicas.

Project officials also created mock-ups in collaboration with a fabricator of historic light fixtures to replicate originals that achieved the efficiency of contemporary units.

Efforts extended to rehabilitation of black oak savanna, foredunes, lagoon and fish habitats, an undertaking involving more than 84,000 native plants and more than 200 lb of native seed.
