The 250-room LEGOLAND® Hotel was designed and built to be nearly as entertaining as the rest of the neighboring LEGOLAND California Resort. Every aspect of the hotel reflects the LEGO® aesthetic—including its custom millwork, wall coverings, lighting, artwork and paint colors. To create the illusion that the hotel is built from LEGO bricks, contractors fabricated custom-scaled replicas for the hotel's exterior facade. More than 3,500 LEGO models are scattered throughout the property, including a smoke-breathing dragon located at the hotel's entry. Public spaces include a restaurant, cafe, lounge, event space and swimming pool. The project team took care to plan and stage construction so that it did not affect LEGOLAND resort guests.
